My eye has always been drawn to simplicity. I have often found that the world at large can be chaotic and somewhat suffocating. While I briefly studied as a creative writing major, I became fascinated with communication and the analysis of literal and metaphorical representation. We are constantly bombarded with media to consume, and I have always longed for the sense of relief that comes with the verity of being blunt in works both literary and illustrative.
My current work is greatly influenced by my experiences studying literature. Editorials, in particular, have always piqued my interest. I find that they often lead to some of the most visually intriguing and thought-provoking works, as they indulge me in bringing together the two worlds I love most. My hope is to encourage further creative exploration and introspection in both others and myself, not only in the arts, but in day-to-day life itself.
